I Never Liked Pink: Lessons Cancer Taught Me is out in the world!
I started to write about my diagnosis of breast cancer in 2012 as a way to keep family and friends updated on my journey. It turned into a form of therapy for me.
Spoiler alert – I was diagnosed again in 2017 and it almost broke me emotionally and physically. Writing became a cathartic way for me to process it all, the good, the bad and the ugly.
Over 11 years, it has turned into a book and now I am sharing my story to inspire others who may be on this same path or who are trying to move through any type of trauma. The lessons I learned are universal.
We can heal through adversity together and we rise by lifting each other. This book explains how cancer helped me learn important lessons and become a different person . . . for the better.
